The Opportunity

Long Term Futures are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant (SEN) to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in the Camden area. The school provides tailored support for pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs, including Autism, Speech & Language needs, ADHD, and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a genuine difference to pupils' learning and wellbeing in a supportive and nurturing school environment.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with varying SEN needs
  • Assist in implementing behaviour, sensory, and communication strategies
  • Support the class teacher in adapting lessons and resources to meet individual needs
  • Help create an inclusive, structured, and supportive learning environment
  • Deliver targeted interventions to promote academic, social, and emotional progress
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents/carers
Requirements
  • Previous experience supporting pupils with SEN in a school setting
  • Strong communication and behaviour-management skills
  • A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team
  • Understanding of safeguarding, wellbeing, and SEN best practice
