Tradewind Recruitment are recruiting! Looking for a fulfilling Primary Learning Support Assistant role in Liverpool? A North Liverpool based Primary School is currently seeking an experienced and passionate Primary Learning Support Assistant from September 2025, potentially till the end of the academic year. This is a full time, long-term role with a daily rate of up to 100 per day.
About the role
You will support within the classroom environment as well as have a good understanding of Phonics and Mathematics with the ability to lead some group and intervention sessions. You should also be able to lead other intervention as directed by the class teacher. The school has a high percentage of children with additional needs therefore your role will include supporting a wide range of abilities. A caring nature and passionate about supporting the needs of all pupils is essential to help them achieve their full potential. You must enjoy working in a fully inclusive school, where the schools vision of making a real difference to the lives of our children.
Core responsibilities and tasks
To support pupil's development, promote engagement and continue to raise standards in key skills
To support the learning of individuals and groups of pupils as identified in the weekly curriculum planning and to act as a role model, setting high expectations
To focus on individual pupils to ensure their needs are being met within the group and feedback to teachers
To encourage pupils to interact and work co-operatively with others and follow the schools Relationship Policy
To observe, record and support the development and progress of pupils
To identify individual needs and difficulties and to feed back to pupils in relation to their progress and achievement
To promote the inclusion and acceptance of all pupils within the setting and provide a positive role model
To meet the physical/medical needs of the pupil according to a pupil's individual care plan. Medical needs include the administration of medicines by mouth or other medical procedures provided appropriate training has been given by an appropriate person EYFS Lead as appropriate. Physically assist pupils in activities (may involve lifting, where mobility is an issue).

To join us and be successful in this role you will need:
Excellent numeracy/literacy/ICT skills
Training in current and relevant learning strategies, e.g. EYFS curriculum, Read, Write, Inc phonic programme, Speech and Language Programmes
First aid training as appropriate (Paediatric First Aid Certificate)
An enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
A CV that must cover the last 10 years of employment history (where possible)
Legal right to work in the UK
