Job Advert: Learning Support Assistant - Dagenham

Are you passionate about making a difference in young people's lives? Our lovely secondary school in Dagenham is looking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join our supportive and inclusive team.

We are recruiting for positions to start immediately as well as for the September 2025 intake. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will be supporting pupils with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) within a mainstream secondary school setting, helping to create an environment where all students can thrive.

You will be required to work on a full-time basis, Monday to Friday, from 8:30am to 3:30pm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 and group support to pupils with SEND

  • Work closely with class teachers to adapt learning materials to meet individual needs

  • Assist in managing pupil behaviour and promoting a positive learning environment

  • Help track pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff

  • Support pupils' emotional and social development
