Learning Support Assistant - Bath

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with special educational needs? If you have a background in Education and Training or experience supporting students with ASD, we want to hear from you!

Academics are currently recruiting for dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistants to support one of our partner schools in Bath, which specializes in supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Whether you have experience in Education and Training, care, psychology, or are looking to gain valuable classroom experience - we want to hear from you.

About the role:
You'll be working 1:1 or in small groups with children who require additional support, helping them to engage with their learning and build confidence in a safe, structured environment. This could include supporting students with Autism, ADHD, SEMH, or complex needs. The role of a Learning Support Assistant is both rewarding and fulfilling, providing you with the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of students in Bath.

What we're looking for in a Learning Support Assistant:

  • Enthusiastic, patient, and nurturing individuals
  • Experience working with children, young people, or vulnerable adults (this can include voluntary or personal experience)
  • A strong interest in SEN and a desire to support learning
  • Team players with good communication skills
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one)
