Sileby Redlands Community Primary School is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our caring team. Working under a teacher, you will assist with teaching and learning, supporting small groups or individuals and helping maintain a safe, nurturing learning environment.

Hours are 32.5 per week over 39 weeks per year (Term Time + Inset Days) with a fixed-term contract until August 2027. A passion for children’s development is essential and DBS disclosure will be required.

Qualifications

• NVQ 2 in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent.
• Experience of supporting teaching and learning in a formal setting.
• Knowledge of safeguarding and health and safety procedures.

Responsabilités

• Help prepare, monitor and maintain a safe and secure learning environment in line with lesson plans.
• Work under supervision to carry out planned activities with small groups or individuals, providing feedback on progress.
• Encourage good behaviour, build positive relationships and manage emotions appropriately.
• Prepare and utilise ICT resources to support pupils learning.
• Prepare materials and displays to create a relevant learning environment.
