Job summary

Teaching Vacancies is seeking an enthusiastic Learning Support/Teaching Assistant for Woodfield Primary School in Lancashire. You will support children in class, in 1:1 and small-group settings, including those with additional learning needs.

You will work under the Headteacher/Assistant Headteachers and SENCO, contribute to intervention programmes, and join a hardworking school team. Some after-school wraparound care (Treetops) may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience and/or ability to support children with additional learning needs to make progress.
• Ability to form positive relationships with children and families, focused on individual learning need.
• Willingness to take a full and active role in the life of the school.

Responsibilities

• Work across school, supporting children in class, in 1:1 and small group situations.
• Deliver intervention support programmes as school need dictates.
• Work under the direction of the Headteacher/Assistant Headteachers, class teachers and SENCO.
• Up to 10 hours may be spent in the afterschool wraparound care club, Treetops.
