Job summary

Outwood Academy Valley in Worksop is seeking a Teaching Assistant to support teachers with tailored activities and provide academic and welfare support to individuals and small groups, including intervention management for SEND and EAL students.

You will help monitor progress, contribute to developing plans, and support social and emotional well-being. The role involves assisting with daily care tasks, supervision on educational visits, and exam invigilation as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in a school environment or with children and young people
• Strong communication and confidentiality skills
• Willingness to undertake training and development

Responsibilities

• Support teachers by implementing planned learning activities and monitoring student progress
• Provide feedback to students and assist in developing individual plans for SEND/EAL learners
• Support student wellbeing, assist with daily care tasks as needed
• Provide cover in intervention settings and supervise on educational visits
• Invigilate exams as required
