About the Role:
As a Learning Support Assistant, you'll support students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) to ensure they can access the curriculum and thrive within a mainstream classroom. You'll work collaboratively with teachers, the SEND department, and support staff to promote equality in education.
Key Responsibilities:
* Help advance student learning in a variety of classroom settings
* Provide targeted in-class support for students with SEND
* Deliver 1:1 support to high-needs students as required
* Promote inclusion and equal learning access for all students
* Record behaviour, interventions, and meetings using SIMS and student files
* Support students with physical needs, as appropriate
This role is ideal for those based in or near Cheshunt, who are keen to work in education and training, particularly within a SEND environment.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
* Have prior experience as a Learning Support Assistant or working with young people (preferred)
* Be patient, supportive, and passionate about inclusive learning
* Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Be a team player who can also work independently
* Have a genuine interest in education, training, and student development
