Learning Support Assistant - (Hilsea)
Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming one-form entry primary school in Hilsea. This rewarding role focuses on supporting pupils with specific academic, behavioural and emotional needs, helping them thrive in a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Location: Hilsea, Hampshire
Start Date: ASAP / September 2025
Contract Type: Full-time
Pay Rate: Minimum 13.96 per hour
Working Hours: 08:30 am - 15:30 pm
Provide tailored support to pupils with behavioural challenges, fostering a safe and encouraging atmosphere.
Build trusting relationships with pupils, staff, and parents to promote positive engagement.
Implement strategies to support individual learning and emotional development.
Help create a calm and structured learning environment that meets the needs of all pupils.
A patient, understanding, and adaptable approach to supporting children with behavioural needs.
Strong communication skills to work effectively with pupils, staff, and families.
Enthusiasm for creating engaging learning experiences.
Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential.
Right to work in the UK.
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered on the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
Provide two professional child-related references.
Access to free accredited CPD courses, including safeguarding and behaviour management.
Ongoing support from our dedicated Training and Development Team.
