Job summary

The Supply Register, on behalf of West Lancashire College, is seeking Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) for flexible, ad hoc roles across the curriculum in Skelmersdale. This is a fantastic entry point for graduates, aspiring teachers, or experienced support staff seeking an FE environment.

As an LSA you will provide 1:1 and small group support, assist lecturers, help create an inclusive learning space and encourage learners’ confidence and progression.

Qualifications

• Passion for supporting young people and adults in education.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patient, proactive, and supportive approach.
• Ability to build positive relationships with learners and staff.
• Desirable: Degree or relevant qualification.
• Experience working with young people or vulnerable adults.
• Interest in teaching, SEN, or support roles.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain).
