Job summary

Morgan Hunt UK Limited is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join our client college in Chichester. You will support students with additional learning needs, helping them access education, gain independence and achieve goals.

You may have experience in education, care, youth work, or support services. The role involves one-to-one and small group support, adapting resources, and working with lecturers to implement strategies.

Qualifications

• GCSE English & Maths at grade 4/C or above.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patient, positive and supportive approach.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting learner welfare.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and small group learning support to students with additional learning needs.
• Support learners during classroom sessions, workshops, and practical activities.
• Encourage independence, confidence, and active participation in learning.
• Work collaboratively with lecturers and support staff to implement individual support strategies.
• Adapt learning resources where appropriate to meet individual learner needs.
• Assist students with organisation, study skills, note-taking, and assignment completion.
• Record learner progress and contribute to support reviews.
• Promote equality, diversity, inclusion, and student wellbeing.
• Comply with safeguarding, health and safety, and college policies.
