Job summary

Academics is seeking a Learning Support Assistant in Headington, Oxford, to support vulnerable learners during the school day. Start in September with both part-time or full-time options, in a school with small class sizes and good travel links.

You will engage with learners, provide academic and emotional support, and help them stay focused. A DBS certificate is required or applicants must be willing to apply for one. Salary £90–£105 per day, depending on qualifications and experience.

Qualifications

• You should be passionate about making a difference and helping these children achieve their goals.
• You must be patient and proactive.
• You must have some experience working with children, either in a classroom or other capacity.
• You must have a valid DBS certificate or be willing to apply for one.

Responsibilities

• Support learners who are struggling in the classroom with coursework and staying on task.
• Provide emotional support and help students process emotions in a healthy way.
