Job summary

Anglian Learning is seeking a dedicated learning support assistant to work alongside the teaching team. You will support pupils’ learning and development, providing targeted help to individuals and small groups, including those with additional learning needs, to access the curriculum and develop independence.

The role emphasizes safeguarding, inclusion, and building positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents. Salary and terms reflect Cambridgeshire Scale 3, points 5–6.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with children or young people in a school or similar educational setting.
• GCSE Grade 4/C or equivalent in English and maths.
• Good literacy, numeracy and organisational skills.
• Enthusiastic, positive and committed to achieving the best outcomes for all pupils.
• Able to build supportive relationships with pupils, colleagues and parents/carers.
• Commitment to safeguarding, inclusion and promoting pupils' wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils' learning and development in a classroom setting.
• Assist individuals and small groups to access the curriculum and become more independent.
• Work with the teaching team to monitor progress and adapt support as needed.
