Job summary

Stockport School is seeking Learning Support Assistants to back teaching, learning and progress for students with additional learning needs, including EHCPs. The role is 31.33 hours per week during term time with inset training days, 8.30am–4.00pm (Thu 8.30am–3.50pm, Fri 8.30am–3.00pm), with unpaid breaks.

There is potential for additional paid overtime supervising reading, literacy interventions, and lunchtime or after-school activities. DBS clearance is required.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths at grade C/4+ required.
• A Levels or higher education desirable.
• Willingness to undergo DBS clearance and safeguarding checks.

Responsibilities

• Support teaching, learning and student progress.
• Assist with independent learning and literacy interventions.
• Supervise reading, enrichment clubs, lunch duties and after-school activities.
