Leeds Safe Roads Partnership is seeking a dedicated support staff member to assist in a classroom environment for pupils with learning difficulties. This role offers a chance to gain valuable experience in educational settings, with opportunities for professional development and a supportive team. Applicants should be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
We cater for pupils between the ages of 2 and 19 with a range of learning difficulties and disabilities, on specialist sites and mainstream partnership schools.
Main Purpose of the Role: To work within a class team under the direction of the class teacher, usually in the classroom to support learning; provide general support to the teacher in managing pupils and the classroom; and support pupils to meet their personal needs.
This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience working within specialist provision. We offer professional development opportunities and a very supportive team of staff. It also serves as a stepping stone into a teaching career.
