Job Title: Learning Support Assistant – Active Provision

Location: Southampton

Start Date: September 2025

Are you passionate about helping young people thrive outside the traditional classroom setting?

TeacherActive is working with a leading alternative provision to recruit a committed and enthusiastic Active Provision Support Assistant to join a dynamic and creative team.

This term-time only, temp / permanent role is ideal for someone who wants to work hands-on with pupils who face social, emotional, or behavioural challenges and need tailored, offsite learning experiences to re-engage with education.

• Hours: 35 hours per week (39 weeks per year)

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Supporting the Active Provision Co-ordinator in delivering bespoke offsite programmes
• Engaging young people in physical, creative, and experiential learning activities
• Building positive relationships and helping pupils develop confidence and resilience
• Working across multiple venues to provide alternative education pathways
• Collaborating with therapeutic, intervention and academic teams to support learner outcomes
