Job Description:

ABC Teachers is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join a vibrant SEN school in Dudley on a full-time basis.

About the role

As an Learning Support Assistant, you will play an essential role in supporting the learning, emotional wellbeing, and personal development of students with a range of needs, including moderate to complex learning difficulties, social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs, and physical disabilities.

You will work closely with the class teacher and a team of skilled support staff to provide tailored interventions and encouragement, helping students to access the curriculum and reach their individual goals.

The role involves supporting children and young people aged 4 to 19, both on a one-to-one basis and within small group settings, adapting your approach to meet their varied needs.

This is a full-time position with the potential to become long-term for the right candidate.

Requirements

To be considered for the role of Learning Support Assistant you will:

  • Have a suitable qualification for working with children and young people such as Health and Social Care, Children and Young People's Workforce.
  • Able to obtain suitable references and a DBS check.
  • Have experience of working with children with special education needs and disabilities.
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
  • two years experience supporting students with Special education needs
