Job Description:

The Learning Support Assistant (LSA) role involves supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs or disabilities (SEND), including those with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). You will work closely with teachers to adapt planning and support high-quality teaching, creating inclusive learning environments. The role is primarily 1:1 and small group support, requiring proactive, energetic, and patient individuals who can inspire confidence and independence in pupils. Experience with positive behaviour management and delivering evidence-based interventions like TEACCH is essential. Locking Primary School, located in North Somerset, is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, with all appointments subject to DBS checks and references. The position offers 32 hours and 30 minutes per week, with an interview scheduled for 27 June 2025.
