Job Title: Learning Support Assistant (Year 4)
Location: Solihull, B91
Salary: £85 - £95 per day, depending on experience
Contract: Full-time, term-time only

We are seeking a committed and professional Learning Support Assistant to support our Year 4 class.

Role Overview:
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play an integral role in supporting students within our Year 4 class, assisting the class teacher in delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences. The role involves providing tailored support to individuals and small groups, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment, and supporting children with a range of learning needs, including Special Educational Needs (SEN).

Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide one-to-one and small group support to students, assisting with their academic development and ensuring they meet their learning objectives.
2. Support children with diverse learning needs, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN), ensuring that they receive the appropriate level of support.
3. Assist the class teacher in the planning, preparation, and delivery of lessons and learning activities.
4. Encourage positive behavior and emotional well-being, promoting self-confidence and independence among students.
5. Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback to the class teacher to help inform planning and individual learning targets.
6. Maintain a safe, organized, and stimulating classroom environment.
7. Foster positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents, working collaboratively to achieve the best outcomes for the children.

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

• Previous experience working in a primary school setting, preferably supporting students in Key Stage 2.
• A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of the national curriculum, particularly within Key Stage 2, and knowledge of child development.
• Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) is advantageous.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with students and work effectively as part of a team.
• A proactive, adaptable, and positive attitude, with a passion for supporting children’s learning and development.
• A current DBS check or the willingness to undertake one (we will assist in obtaining this if necessary).
