Job summary

Roundwood Park School in Nottingham is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to support students with a range of Special Educational Needs, including ASD, ADHD, HI, Dyslexia and APD.

The role is term-time (38 weeks) plus two training days, five days a week with 6.5-hour days (8:20 am–3:20 pm, including a 30-minute break). Part‑time applications are welcome (minimum three full days) and the salary ranges from £18,919 to £19,803 per year.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting students with Special Educational Needs is desirable but not essential.
• Previous work with young people is helpful.

• Support students with SEND including ASD, ADHD, HI, dyslexia and APD.
• Mentor students as keyworkers for our vulnerable learners.
• Deliver and plan 1:1 intervention and targeted learning activities after gaining experience.

Learning Support Assistant

Five days per week, but part-time applications are very welcome (minimum three full days). Each day is 6.5hrs (8.20 am to 3.20 pm, with 30 minutes’ break), so a five-day position would be 32.5hrs per week.

Term-time (38 weeks) plus two training days

Pay Scale: H2 (Points 3-5) to H3 (Points 5-6) depending on experience

Actual paid salary for five days per week £18,919-£19,803

We are looking to appoint enthusiastic, energetic and motivated individuals to add to our capacity in our Learning Support Department. The successful candidate(s) will be supporting students with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, including ASD, ADHD, HI, Dyslexia & APD. You will be given the opportunity to mentor students, acting as keyworkers, for our most vulnerable students, as well as the opportunity to carry out 1:1 intervention and plan and deliver learning activities, once experience has been gained.
