Job summary

St Augustine of Canterbury Catholic Academy in North Berwick is seeking a Learning Support Assistant/Teaching Assistant to join a dedicated team supporting students. The role involves assisting learning, classroom tasks and safeguarding.

The post is 30 hours per week during term time plus 5 days (39 weeks) with pay in the band £26,016 to £27,275 FTE plus SEN allowance; experience in phonics and working with young people are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Previous experience of working within a school environment would be an advantage.
• Experience of being involved in the teaching and support of phonics would be an advantage.
• Level of pay within the range will be determined by level of experience and qualifications.

Previous experience of working within a school environment would be an advantage, a genuine interest in working amongst young people is essential.

Experience of being involved in the teaching and support of phonics would be an advantage. Level of pay within the range will be determined by level of experience and qualifications.

30 hours per week term time plus 5 days (39 weeks per year)

Grade and Level are dependent upon experience – From £26,016.00 to £27,275.00 FTE plus up to £1493.00 SEN allowance
