NHS is seeking Learning Support Assistants to join the Choices College Support Internship programme. The successful candidates will work alongside tutors, helping students with learning disabilities to enhance their education and achieve their potential. This role involves providing tailored support in various locations around London, ensuring that educational and developmental needs are met effectively.
Following approval from the Department of Education, NHSE was awarded funding to develop a NHS National Supported Internship programme for young people with Learning Difficulties and/or Disabilities (LDD) as well as Autism.
This very unique and exciting opportunity has arisen to support students with their education within this Supported Internship programme called Choices College.
We are looking for Learning Support Assistants to work closely with our Tutors in delivering the educational outcomes of Employability and Functional skills qualifications
The post holder will be a confident communicator with students who have a range of learning disabilities and have recent extensive experience in supporting the education of students with SEN on a 1 to 1 basis in the classroom.
A passion for supporting students with SEN to meet their full potential is essential for this role.
The vacancy requires working at various sites in London. Willingness to travel is essential.
The Learning Support Assistant's main duties will include supporting delivery of bespoke Employability training and functional skills to interns, supporting the delivery of sessions in a classroom setting. Maintaining weekly individual records for each student that meet inspection requirements, is also a part of this role.

Colleagues with a contractual office base are expected to spend, on average, at least 40% of their time working in-person.
