Job summary

Lewisham is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to join its secondary school from September 2026. You will support students with SEND in class and small groups, assist teachers, adapt resources and help pupils access the curriculum.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with children or young people, ideally within a school environment.
  • Experience supporting students with SEND, including autism, ADHD, SEMH or learning difficulties, is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Promote positive behaviour and support the school's behaviour policy.

  • Monitor student progress and record observations.
  • Provide pastoral support and create a safe, positive learning environment.
