Pay Rate: £90 to £115 per day (Depending on experience)
Contract: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a vibrant and inclusive school community in Hull. Role Overview

As a Learning Support Assistant (LSA), you will work closely with teachers and other support staff to provide tailored assistance to students across a range of abilities. Your role will involve one-on-one and small group support, helping students stay engaged, build confidence, and develop essential academic and social skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Individualised Support: Assist in the development and implementation of personalised learning strategies for students with varying needs.
  • Academic Guidance: Support students in core subjects such as English and Maths, using structured interventions and resources.
  • Positive Behaviour Modelling: Encourage and reinforce positive behaviour and attitudes towards learning.
  • Inclusive Learning: Help create a classroom environment that is welcoming, inclusive, and conducive to learning for all students.
  • Progress Tracking: Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and contributing to review meetings.
  • Collaborative Approach: Work alongside teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to ensure holistic support for each student.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Learning Support Assistant or in a similar educational support role.
  • A genuine passion for education and student development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in education are desirable.
