The Opportunity
Youll be providing a range of support services both in and outside of the classroom to students who have a specific inclusion and support need which will enable them to achieve and progress. We offer a large range of support to students across our college on all college sites.
Our students are at the heart of our person-centred approach, and we support all our 120+ learning support staff to develop and embed outstanding skills and knowledge.
As an LSA at our Broomfield campus, no day is ever the same. You could be supporting a group of students in their GCSE English and Maths classes one session and then off up to the farm to support students learning how to drive the tractor or cleaning out the livestock. Our students require support across all levels of study programme, from Entry Level to Level 3 programmes. Our students have a broad range of support needs with key areas for support being Dyslexia, Mental Health and Autism. We work with our students to develop their resilience and independence towards adult life.
About you
We value the ability to build good working relationships, the ability to foster confidence and a can do attitudes and challenge the 3000 students we support to strive for excellence. We also value practical problem solving and using your initiative in trying to make our students world a little better every day. You will be keen to work with students supporting them to access all elements of the curriculum.
Please do not apply for this role if you do not hold at least a Grade C/4 in both Level 2/GCSE Maths and English. You will be required to provide evidence of this.
