Job summary

Vision for Education Ltd. in Hull is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive secondary school from January 2027. This full-time, term-time role offers daily pay and a chance to work closely with teachers to support student development.

You will assist with lessons, create learning resources, monitor progress, and help maintain a safe, inclusive learning environment for all students. Opportunities for long-term roles are available.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable.
• Genuine passion for education and supporting student development.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• GCSEs English and Maths (Grade C/4+) or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Support teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons across a range of subjects.
• Provide one-to-one and small group support to students, including those with additional needs.

• Promote positive behaviour and help manage classroom dynamics in line with school policies.
• Support students' academic, social, and emotional development.
• Help track and report on student progress where required.
• Supervise students during break times, transitions, and school activities.

Location: Hull
Start Date: January 2027
Contract: Full-time, term-time only
Salary: £85-£110 per day (dependent on experience and qualifications)

About the Role

Vision for Education is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join a supportive secondary school in Hull from January 2027. This is a full-time position, ideal for someone passionate about supporting young people in their education and development.

You will work closely with teaching staff to provide classroom support, assist with learning activities, and help create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Support teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons across a range of subjects

Requirements
