Job summary

TipTopJob is recruiting a dedicated SEN Learning Support Assistant for a secondary school in Upminster, UK. The role is full-time and long-term, with a strong potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

You will provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEN (ASD, ADHD, SEMH, Speech and Language needs) and work closely with teachers and the SENDCo to deliver tailored plans. A patient, caring approach is essential for this rewarding role.

This is a full:time, long:term position supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), with a strong potential to transition into a permanent contract for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to secondary school students with various SEN needs (e.g., ASD, ADHD, SEMH, Speech and Language difficulties).
  • Work closely with the class teachers and the SENDCo to implement tailored Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Act as a mentor and positive role model, helping students build confidence, academic skills, and emotional resilience.
  • Foster an inclusive, safe, and engaging learning environment.
