Job summary

Ark Castledown Primary Academy in Hastings is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to join our Inclusion Team. You will support a child with additional needs by helping deliver work programmes and by assisting in planning and preparing resources.

The role is fixed-term until August 2027, part-time 16.5 hours over three days, with term-time hours. We offer friendly staff, access to comprehensive CPD and staff discounts within the Ark network, and a commitment to safeguarding and professional

Qualifications

• Experience of working with primary aged children.
• Experience of working with children with SEND.
• Experience of supporting children with behavioural difficulties.
• Experience of supporting children with risk awareness.
• Good literacy and mathematical skills.
• Prepared to support with personal care as required.
• Hard working and adaptable to change.

Learning Support Assistant

The role will involve helping to implement work programmes for a child with additional needs, and assisting in planning, managing and preparing resources for the child.

The successful candidate will:

• have experience of working with primary aged children,
• have experience of working with children with SEND
• have experience of supporting children with behavioural difficulties
• have experience of supporting children with risk awareness
• have good literacy and mathematical skills
• be prepared to support with personal care as required
• be hard working and adaptable to change
