The McAuley Catholic High School is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to help pupils with a range of abilities. You will promote learning and welfare, delivering practical and learning support under the direction of a class teacher.

Working 30 hours per week during term time, plus 3 days for training and meetings across the academic year, this role suits someone with patience, resilience and a genuine aptitude for working with children and young people.

Qualifications

• Aptitude for working with children and young people; patient and able to handle diverse abilities and behaviours.
• Experience in providing practical and learning support under the direction of a class teacher.

Responsibilities

• Promote learning and welfare of students by providing practical and learning support.
• Support students including those with statements of SEN under the direction of a class teacher.
