Job summary

Rastrick High School is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to join their team. The role is 30 hours per week, term-time only, including training days, with a salary at NJC scales 2-3. The post is permanent and part-time, based at Field Top Road, Brighouse.

Two positions available; start date 02/11/2026, closing date 20th Sep 2026. The school prioritises high standards and student welfare and offers a collaborative environment with professional development opportunities.

  • To support teachers in the delivery of skilfully adapted lessons.

  • To support the delivery of the curriculum to small groups or whole classes of pupils to access their learning through the distribution and delivery of learning resources.
  • To provide a visible, high-profile presence in the school at all times but particularly through designated school lunch periods to support: the delivery of a calm and orderly environment, excellent standards of pupil behaviour and safety, pupils' enjoyment of their social time.
