Job summary

Heath Hayes Primary Academy, part of Coast and Vale Learning Trust, is seeking a Relational Care Support Assistant to deliver SEMH support and relational care across Nursery to Year 6. You will plan and run 1:1, small group and classroom sessions, including Talk therapies, ELSA and mindfulness, while using pupil voice to inform sessions.

Job description

We are looking for a highly skilled, dedicated and enthusiastic Relational Care Support Assistant to join our team at Heath Hayes Primary Academy . You need to be committed to providing children with exceptional SEMH supportand learning opportunities in a fun and caring environment, committed to teamwork, have a can-do attitude with a good sense of humor and be prepared to go that extra mile.

Working across the school with children from Nursery to Year 6, you should be experienced in working with children and adapting and extending learning within a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment. You will deliver relational care and SEMH interviews and provision, working 1:1, in small groups, and sometimes in whole class settings. Sessions typically include Talk therapies, ELSA, Mindfulness, regulation feelings & emotions, Mental Health support and targeted support activities. You will be required to plan, prepare and deliver these sessions. The role will include using date, pupil, parent & staff voice to inform groupings & sessions. You may be required to provide classroom TA support. The role will also include lunchtime support- delivering sessions, using expertise in play and relational care on the playground, and supporting lunchtimes as a whole.

The suggested working pattern for this role is 11.50am - 3.05pm, Monday to Friday. but is negotiable, this can be discussed further at interview.
