Teaching Support Assistant Role in Brecon

Prospero Teaching is looking for committed, enthusiastic, and easy-going learning support assistants in Brecon and surrounding areas for the upcoming school year.

The ideal candidates would have prior experience as a teaching assistant, particularly with children with SEN/SEND. The role may be based in mainstream or special education schools, including learning resource bases (LRBs) within mainstream settings and schools for profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD). Additional training or handling experience is desirable but not essential.

Job Details
  1. Type of work: Support in all aspects of learning, assisting children with additional needs.
  2. Start date: ASAP
  3. Duration: Long-term employment
  4. Contract type: Temporary
  5. Pay rate: Minimum rate £ per day
  6. Hours: 8:30 am – 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday (term time only)
Experience, Training, and Qualifications
  • Experience working with children or adults with additional needs.
  • Up-to-date Safeguarding and Prevent training issued within the last year.
  • A sporty attitude and willingness to take children out of lessons to play occasionally.
Eligibility Requirements
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • An enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or willingness to obtain a new one.
  • Two professional child-related references.
