North Star Academy Trust is seeking two Learning Support Assistants to support the class teacher in groups or with individual children, contributing to improved outcomes for vulnerable pupils in a positive team environment.

The roles are fixed-term, 35 hours per week across 39 weeks per annum, with a salary of £24,836 to £26,509 per year. The successful candidates will join a supportive team and have access to training and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Good understanding of primary and/or secondary curriculum.
• At least one year's experience in a learning/childcare setting.
• Ability to support reading and phonics for early readers.
• Ability to support extra-curricular activities.
• Flexible, adaptable and positive attitude in a structured environment.
• Effective communication with a range of stakeholders.
• Empathy, listening and responding to unexpressed needs.
• Willingness to undertake further training.

We have two fixed term positions available for enthusiastic and committed Learning Support Assistants to provide support to the class teacher in groups or to individual children.

You will be required to work 35 hours per week, 39 weeks per annum. Actual salary £24,836 - £26,509 p.a.

The successful candidates will be joining a positive, solution-focused team of staff who are dedicated to help improve outcomes for vulnerable pupils.

The successful applicants will have:

• A good understanding of primary and/or secondary curriculum.
• At least one years’ experience of working in a learning/childcare setting.
• The ability to support reading and phonics for those students at the early stages of reading.
• The ability to support our programme of extra-curricular activities.
• A flexible, adaptable and positive attitude to working in a structured environment.
• The ability to effectively communicate with a range of stakeholders.
• The skills of empathy, listening, communication and the ability to respond to unexpressed need.
• A willingness to undertake the further training that will be offered.
