SANZA Teaching Agency is currently recruiting on behalf of a large, vibrant primary school in Barking & Dagenham. They are looking for talented, compassionate learning support assistants to join their team from September.

About the school:

The school is a mainstream primary with 2 Additional Resource Provisions (ARPs); one all-through ARP specializing in Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and a secondary ARP focusing on Speech, Language, and Communication Needs (SLCN).

The school prides itself on supporting pupils with diverse Special Educational Needs and fostering an inclusive environment that celebrates diversity and difference.

About the role:

As a learning support assistant, you will work closely with primary-aged students diagnosed with Autism. Your responsibilities include:

• Providing dedicated support to help students access learning materials and participate in activities
• Collaborating with teachers to adapt lesson plans and materials for accessibility
• Encouraging social interaction and facilitating involvement in extracurricular activities and events
• Offering 1:1 guidance and tutoring to reinforce learning and help students excel
• Working with the school's inclusion team to implement individualised strategies for educational and personal development
• Supporting small groups of students and working 1:1 as needed
