Job summary

TimePlan Education is seeking an experienced Learning Support Assistant to join a specialist SEN school in East Cheshire. You will provide 1:1 and small-group support to students aged 11-16 with complex needs, including ASC, PMLD and sensory/communication needs, in a warm, village-like countryside setting.

The role involves personal care, daily living routines, promoting communication and independence, and supporting EHCP targets.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in an SEN, specialist education, care or challenging behaviour setting is essential.
  • Confident and respectful when providing personal care.
  • Patient, resilient, adaptable and compassionate.
  • A strong relationship builder who enjoys collaborating with colleagues.
  • Excellent communication skills and a genuine passion for supporting young people.

You will support students aged 11-16 with a range of complex needs, including Autism (ASC), PMLD, sensory and communication needs, and associated neurological conditions. The role includes personal care, so confidence supporting students with intimate care and daily living needs is essential.
