Warburtons is committed to outstanding people development. We are transforming our Learning & Development team and have created a new role for a Learning Solutions Designer to develop engaging online and blended learning solutions for our Manufacturing and Distribution teams.

This is an exciting time to join our new L&D team and bring innovative learning approaches to deliver great learning experiences for our business.

Our Learning and Development team aims to enhance manufacturing and distribution capabilities. You will partner with site leadership teams to own the L&D agenda across your site and depots, directly impacting operational excellence and management skills.

You will join a high-performing, fun, national L&D team committed to the development of colleagues and their own growth, achieving both personal and business goals.

As a Learning Solutions Designer, you will collaborate with stakeholders from Manufacturing, Distribution, Health & Safety, and Quality to translate business needs into engaging learning solutions.

You will design content for facilitator-led, online, and blended learning solutions, working with the learning delivery team to raise standards in learning design using the latest methodologies. You will be an expert in your field, in touch with the latest thinking in learning design and technologies.

Key Accountabilities and Measures
  • Work with the L&D Partner, Stakeholders, and Business Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to create, co-create, and curate learning solutions that enable Manufacturing & Distribution plans.
  • Design creative and engaging digital learning content for online and blended delivery, ensuring solutions meet learner and business needs, and are executed with excellence via Train the Trainer interventions.
  • Collaborate with Learning Delivery Specialists, Trainers, and SMEs to apply principles and standards that underpin quality learning solutions and maximize impact.
  • Manage the design and development of learning solutions, working with stakeholders and third-party providers to meet deadlines.
  • Review and evaluate learning solutions to ensure outcomes are achieved and explore innovative ways of designing content for maximum transfer.
  • Design communications and collateral to promote a learning culture within Operations.
  • Manage governance of learning content and curricula within the Learning Management System.
  • Stay current with industry trends and learning technologies, sharing ideas and best practices to enhance team capability.
  • Translate high-level design briefs into practical, high-quality, cost-effective learning solutions, influencing stakeholders on good learning standards.
  • Understand learning theories and principles underpinning face-to-face and digital learning technologies.
  • Demonstrate passion and ability to create innovative e-learning that makes a difference.
  • Maintain active interest in trends in learning technologies and bring innovative thinking.
  • Exhibit excellent written communication and design skills to translate ideas into visually engaging content.
  • Experience using SCORM/AICC standards with Learning Management Systems, ideally SAP SuccessFactors.
  • Proficiency in authoring tools like Articulate Storyline/360 or Adobe Captivate.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud or other digital design tools (preferable).
