Job summary

Singapore Institute of Management Group is seeking an experienced instructional designer to drive learning initiatives across the corporate sector in the UK. You will analyze learning needs, design blended curricula, and develop engaging resources for workplace learning.

The role requires 3+ years, a relevant degree, and ACTA/ACLP and DACE/DDDLP certifications; you will apply AI-enabled content creation and work in an agile environment to deliver measurable outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or higher in education, business/marketing or related field.
• 3+ years in instructional design, curriculum development and adult learning.
• Strong understanding of learning and performance needs analysis.
• Proficient in designing user-centred blended curricula and instructional strategies.
• Experience designing assessments using formative and summative evaluation.
• Familiar with Generative AI tools for content creation and enhancement.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• ACTA/ACLP certification required.
• DACE/DDDLP certification preferred.
• Ability to work in an agile environment.

Job description

• Learning and Performance Needs Analysis: Collaborate with intended learners and key stakeholders to conduct thorough learning and performance needs analyses. Identify gaps in skills and knowledge and determine authentic learning needs within a corporate context.
• Curriculum Design: Develop user-centred, blended curriculum that aligns with authentic learning and performance needs. Design courses that promote workplace learning and enhance learning-to-learn capabilities.
• Instructional Strategy Development: Design future-oriented instructional strategies that incorporate innovative and effective learning methodologies. Implement pedagogical approaches that support learning within and across various modes, including in-person and online environments.
• Learning Resource Development: Develop user-centric learning resources, including multimedia elements, interactive modules, and engaging content. Ensure alignment with learning objectives and promote an effective and enjoyable learning experience.
• Assessment Design: Design and develop assessments that measure the attainment of learning outcomes. Implement formative and summative assessments to promote ongoing learning and measure overall course effectiveness.
• Reflexive Disposition: Adopt a reflexive disposition in pursuit of continuous professional development. Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in instructional design.
• Generative AI Adoption: Utilize Generative AI tools to create and/or enhance curriculum and content development. Explore innovative ways to incorporate AI-driven elements into instructional design processes.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in education, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
• At least 3 years of experience in in instructional design methodologies, curriculum development, and adult learning with a focus on adult learners.
• Strong understanding of learning and performance needs analysis methodologies.
• Proficiency in designing user-centred blended curriculum and instructional strategies.
• Experience in developing assessments and utilizing formative and summative evaluation techniques.
• Familiarity with Generative AI tools for content creation and enhancement.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Certification in ACTA/ACLP is required.
• Certification in DACE/DDDLP preferred.
• Ability to work in an agile environment.
