Job Description
The job description is current as of June 2023 and serves as a guide to the work you will be required to undertake. It may be amended by the College in consultation with the post holder to adapt to changing circumstances.
The appointment is subject to the Conditions of Service for Business Support Staff.

The salary range for this post is from £32,333 to £34,974 per annum. Your starting salary will depend on your qualifications and experience. Upon successful completion of your probation, your salary will increase within the salary band annually until reaching the top of the scale.
37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year.
25 days plus 8 public holidays and 5 discretionary days. After 2 years of continuous service, entitlement increases to 30 days. Only in exceptional circumstances, with the Director’s permission, can staff take more than 3 consecutive weeks of leave.
The College offers the 'Local Government Pension Scheme.'
9 months, including mandatory induction and training sessions on various topics such as Equality & Diversity, Safeguarding, GDPR, Cyber Security, and Health & Safety. Completion of these is required to pass probation.
Two satisfactory references are required.
The successful candidate will be based at Cross College but may be required to work at other locations.
The College will verify essential qualifications by contacting the issuing educational institutions.
If obtaining a qualification is a contractual requirement, funding depends on annual budget reviews, with available student loan options.
Minimum Level 2 qualification in both English and Maths is required; if not held, you must obtain them during employment.
The College is committed to safeguarding and expects all staff to undertake safeguarding training during probation.
