Job summary

Allscreens Nationwide Ltd is seeking a Learning Resources Assistant to join the Learning Resources Centre team. This permanent post is 28 hours per week, with a pay of £13.46 per hour. You will help with daily LRC operations and provide support to staff and students.

You will greet users, assist with queries, shelve materials, manage issues and oversee stock checks while maintaining accurate records and data entry on the library system. Training and CPD are encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Greet staff and students in a friendly and polite manner.
• Deal with enquiries (face-to-face, written and over the telephone) at the enquiry desk.
• Shelving of books, book repairs, issuing and returning items, and handling post.
• Provide appropriate IT and eLearning guidance, assistance and support to all users.
• Attend LRC team meetings and share minute taking duties.
• Maintain accurate data entry onto the automated library system.
• Handle cash transactions related to the LRC and its services.
• Participate in an annual stock check of items in the LRC.
