Job Description
This is a fantastic opportunity to support the delivery of high-quality learning and development across the council. You’ll work closely with the Head of HR & Learning and the wider L&D team to coordinate training activities, maintain accurate records, and help develop innovative learning solutions—including e-learning.
You’ll also play a key role in evaluating the impact of training, supporting budget monitoring, and ensuring that staff have access to the learning they need to thrive.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate training bookings, manage waiting lists, and liaise with staff and external trainers.
- Maintain accurate records of all learning and development activities.
- Support the development of e-learning and other learning initiatives.
- Monitor training budgets and contract performance in consultation with the Staff Development Manager.
- Produce reports on mandatory training completion and learning outcomes.
- Analyse training evaluations to assess return on investment and organisational impact.
- Advise staff and managers on effective learning methods and resources.
- Provide administrative support to the HR & Learning team.
Skills Required
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and customer service.
- Confidence working with data, systems, and reporting tools.
- An interest in learning and development, with a willingness to grow in the role.
- Experience in an administrative or coordination role (desirable but not essential).
