A leading educational support agency seeks enthusiastic individuals to work with young people with Special Educational Needs at ROC College. We are looking for friendly, supportive people with experience working with individuals with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities to join our growing education team at ROC College.
Working with a registered charity, their mission is to ensure individuals with learning disabilities, mental or physical support needs have the opportunity to live their lives to the full. The College we are working with is a specialist college providing person-centred, community-based teaching and learning within Cornwall, Devon, and Somerset. We work with young people aged 16 to 25 who have Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
We are keen to hear from applicants with experience of working with individuals with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). You will be patient, supportive, enthusiastic, and able to use your creativity and initiative to provide accessible education content tailored to our students and work experience.
The ideal applicant will have the necessary skills to support developing independence, accessing the local community, and supporting PBS practice, along with an understanding of complex behavioural needs and experience with individuals with complex learning disabilities, high needs, personal care, and epilepsy.
You will also need to have the flexibility to travel across the community with students. This is a fantastic opportunity for those wanting to progress their skills and experience in teaching and learning. Experience working with young people with challenging behaviours would be an advantage.
