West Huntspill Primary Academy in Somerset is seeking a Learning Mentor to join our busy school team. You will provide key pastoral support under the Headteacher, liaising with external agencies and safeguarding colleagues to support pupils’ personal development and academic progress.

You will deliver targeted interventions in literacy, numeracy and behaviour, build strong relationships with pupils, families and staff, and contribute to a warm, inclusive learning environment during term time

Qualifications

  • GCSE 4+ in Maths and English
  • NVQ/VRQ Level 3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • ICT proficiency including Google Suite and Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

  • Support pupils' personal development and progress.
  • Promote wellbeing, self-esteem and positive learning behaviours.
  • Collaborate with class teacher and senior leaders to deliver targeted support.
