Learning Mentor / Behaviour Mentor - Ideal for Psychology or Criminology Graduates in Ampthill and around Bedford.

Are you a Psychology or Criminology graduate in Ampthill or the surrounding area looking to make a real difference in the lives of young people as a Learning Mentor / Behaviour Mentor? Do you want to apply your knowledge of behaviour, mental health, and human development in a meaningful, hands-on role?

We're looking for a Learning Mentor / Behaviour Mentor to join a dedicated inclusion team and support students who need guidance, structure, and emotional support to thrive in school.

Position Details

Position: Learning Mentor / Behaviour Mentor

Location: Ampthill

Full-Time | Term-Time Only

Salary: £460 - £500

Start Date: September

  4. Work alongside teachers, SENCOs, and external agencies to deliver tailored support plans.
  5. Play a key role in creating a safe, inclusive, and nurturing school environment.
We're Looking For Someone Who:
  1. Has a degree in Psychology, Criminology, or a related field.
  2. Is empathetic, patient, and confident when supporting vulnerable or challenging young people.
  3. Understands behaviour as a form of communication and is committed to trauma-informed practice.
  4. Is eager to learn, reflect, and grow within a supportive team.
  5. Has experience working with children or young people (voluntary or paid).
