We’re teaming up with a welcoming secondary school in Shrewsbury that’s on the lookout for a Learning Mentor to join their brilliant support team.
This role is all about connection. You’ll work with young people who’ve hit a few bumps in the road—maybe they’re struggling with confidence, behaviour, or something more personal. Your job? Be the person who helps them believe in themselves again.

Offering one-to-one and small group support to students who need it most
Helping to build routines, confidence, and a sense of belonging
Working closely with teaching staff to keep students engaged in school life
Keeping an eye on progress—and cheering on the wins, big or small
Supporting with behaviour strategies that make a difference
Experience mentoring or supporting young people (in school, youth work, or similar)
A calm, patient, and genuinely positive approach
Resilience—you’ll be working with students who need consistency and care
Someone who’s proactive, organised, and great at building relationships
A Level 2 or 3 TA qualification
A background in mental health, counselling, or pastoral care

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
