We’re teaming up with a welcoming secondary school in Shrewsbury that’s on the lookout for a Learning Mentor to join their brilliant support team.

This role is all about connection. You’ll work with young people who’ve hit a few bumps in the road—maybe they’re struggling with confidence, behaviour, or something more personal. Your job? Be the person who helps them believe in themselves again.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Offering one-to-one and small group support to students who need it most

• Helping to build routines, confidence, and a sense of belonging

• Working closely with teaching staff to keep students engaged in school life

• Keeping an eye on progress—and cheering on the wins, big or small

• Supporting with behaviour strategies that make a difference

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience mentoring or supporting young people (in school, youth work, or similar)

• A calm, patient, and genuinely positive approach

• Resilience—you’ll be working with students who need consistency and care

• Someone who’s proactive, organised, and great at building relationships

Bonus Points If You’ve Got:

• A Level 2 or 3 TA qualification

• A background in mental health, counselling, or pastoral care

• Thrive training (and if not, don’t worry—we’ll give you free access!)
