Learning Mentor – Bletchley

Are you passionate about supporting students' social, emotional, and mental health? Are you looking to gain experience and develop your understanding further? Do you aspire to grow your career into social work, safeguarding roles, SENCO, or mental health support? This position could be the perfect stepping stone for you!

As a SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will work within schools to support students' emotional regulation and mental health. Your responsibilities may include creating coping mechanisms during learning, supporting students in de-escalation techniques, and developing a toolbox of strategies to help students manage their emotions and feelings.

The school is highly accommodating and understanding of individual needs. It seeks someone who can support students' education, mental health, well-being, socialization, and emotional regulation both inside and outside the classroom.

Key qualities for this role include resilience, patience, understanding, and approachability. It is essential to have an understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures, including the correct reporting of concerns to ensure the child's best interests.

Additional Information:

1. Full-time position
2. Start date: September, with interviews throughout July
3. Salary: £450-£500 per week for a full-time, permanent role; part-time hours also considered for the right candidate
4. Working hours: 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM, with an early finish on Fridays
