Are you passionate about supporting students' social, emotional, and mental health? Looking to gain experience and develop your understanding further? Want to grow your career into social work, safeguarding roles, SENCO, mental health assistance/support roles? This could be the perfect stepping stone for you!

As a SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will work within schools to support students' emotional regulation and mental health. This may include creating coping mechanisms for completing work or supporting students to develop de-escalation methods. You will help create a toolbox with the student to assist them in learning coping strategies and gaining control over their emotions and feelings.

This school is highly accommodating and understanding of the child's needs. They are looking for someone who can support the child's education, mental health, well-being, socialization, and emotional regulation both inside and outside the classroom.

In this role, it is important to be resilient, patient, understanding, and approachable to effectively support the child. It is vital to have an understanding of safeguarding and to report any concerns correctly for the child's best interests.

Additional information about this role:

  • Full-time position
  • ASAP or July start
  • £450-£500 per week for a full-time permanent position; part-time hours also considered for the right candidate
