Job description

Education changes lives.

But tech hasn’t lived up to its promise—yet. At Kognity, we’re here to change that.

We blend smart pedagogy with cutting-edge tech to create powerful, engaging learning experiences. Every student, everywhere, deserves the tools to succeed—no matter their background. We're on a mission to make that happen.

Why Kognity is the place to be:

  • Educational Innovation – Build future-proof solutions that transform how students learn and teachers teach

  • Global Reach – Our platform supports schools in 120+ countries

  • Collaborative Culture – Work with brilliant, kind people who care deeply about impact

  • Real Growth – Expand your skills and shape your own journey in a fast-moving company

What you’ll do:

  • Design inclusive, engaging, assessment-rich learning experiences across global curricula (IBDP, NGSS, and IGCSE)

  • Develop and prototype scalable assessment models using a mix of human insight and generative AI tools

  • Help define what effective, AI-powered assessment design looks like — and make it happen

  • Work cross-functionally with AI specialists, product managers, and subject experts to shape curriculum-aligned solutions that work in real classrooms

  • Contribute to discovery work through interviews, user research, and competitor analysis

What we’re looking for:

  • Strong ability to interpret assessment frameworks across multiple curricula and turn them into impactful designs

  • Instructional design strengths, particularly around assessment development, pedagogical scaffolding, and standards alignment

  • A curious, open-minded approach to AI — you enjoy using tools like ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini to push your work further and faster

  • A background in teaching, publishing, or curriculum design, with subject depth in areas like science, math, or humanities

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across disciplines

  • A flexible mindset — you’re excited to adapt, iterate, and learn in a fast-paced environment

Our interview process:

We want you to shine. That’s why our process is designed to be clear, supportive, and human:

  • Discovery Call – An informal chat with our recruiter

  • Hiring Manager Interview – Deep dive into the role and your experiences

  • Case Study – Work on a real-world challenge

  • Values Interview – Let’s talk about what drives you

  • Leadership Discussion – Big ideas, bold vision, and where you can grow with us

Benefits

  • Remote-first - you’re free to work from anywhere in the UK

  • Flexible Working – Work in a way that fits around your personal life.

  • ️ Annual wellness budget - gym memberships, exercise classes, etc.

  • 30 days of paid vacation every year.

  • MacBook, iPhone as work equipment

Our values:

  • We maximise progress

  • We take ownership

  • We drive customer value

  • We are transparent

  • We take care of ourselves and each other

Every qualified person will be evaluated regardless of age, gender, identity, nationality, ethnicity, sexual orientation, disability status or religion. We’re committed to building a diverse, inclusive team and welcome people of all backgrounds, experiences, perspectives, and abilities.

Deadline for applications: August 11th at 17:00 CET. Our team will personally review every application on this date.
