Job summary

We Change Lives is seeking a Learning Disability Support Worker to provide person-centred support at Twiss Green Lane, Culcheth. This role involves assisting with daily living, promoting independence and helping individuals participate in activities within the local community.

You will work as part of a friendly team to support four residents in a residential setting. Applicants should show compassion and reliability, with a willingness to learn and a positive, approachable manner.

About Twiss Green Lane

53 Twiss Green Lane is small residential homes within an adapted bungalow in Culcheth. It provides a long term home to four people with learning and physical disabilities and may have been classified as having profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD). When there are vacancies, it can also be used occasionally as a location for short breaks away from a permanent home elsewhere.

What will you be doing?

As a Learning Disability Support Worker, you'll provide person-centred support that helps the people we support enjoy life, build confidence and achieve their goals.

Your role may include:

• Supporting with personal care and daily living.
• Promoting independence and encouraging people to make their own choices.
• Supporting positive behaviours and helping individuals build confidence.
• Helping people attend appointments and take part in activities and social outings.
• Supporting people to enjoy their hobbies and interests.
• Helping people stay connected with local community.
• Using adapted vehicles to support trips and activities.
• Working as part of a friendly and supportive team.
