Job description

Highland Health and Social Care Services help people from all walks of life, as well as their families or carers. Health and Social Care in Highland provides help and assistance in many situations arising due to illness, disability, old age or poverty.

We are looking for a support worker to work in a team which delivers support to adults with learning disabilities, communication difficulties, personal care, and complex needs.

Candidates should be able to work as part of a team or under their own initiative. Candidates require excellent communication skills and confidence in their abilities. Candidates must be willing and able to undertake training to SVQ Level 3, alongside all other training required for service delivery.

The Isobel Rhind Centre is open Monday – Friday, 8.45 am – 4.15 pm, although successful candidates may be required to work flexible shift patterns, including minimal evening and weekend work outside these core hours. While primarily based at the Isobel Rhind Centre, you may also be required to lone work in community settings or as part of a small team.

Successful applicants will be required to register with the PVG Scheme.

NHS Scotland is reducing the full-time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours starting 1 April 2024, with no change in pay. This change will be applied pro-rata for part-time staff.
