Job summary

SeeMeHired.com is seeking a dedicated Learning Disability Support Worker to assist young people with learning disabilities in their homes and local community. You will deliver person-centered supervision, promote independence, and support daily living activities in a compassionate setting.

The role requires PMVA training, 12 months’ experience, and strong de-escalation and communication skills. A UK driving licence is preferred, with opportunities for training and clear career progression.

Qualifications

  • 12 months’ experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities and challenging behaviour.

  • Strong de-escalation and behaviour management skills.
  • Experience promoting independent living skills such as routines and nutrition.
  • Confidence using digital care planning systems for accurate record keeping.

  • Supporting with daily living skills including meal planning, shopping, dietary needs and personal routines.

  • Maintaining accurate and professional digital care notes, risk assessments, and incident reports.
  • Collaborating with families, carers, and multi-disciplinary teams (MDTs) to ensure positive outcomes.

Essential Requirements

To be successful in this Learning Disability Support Worker role, you must have:

  • At least 12 months’ experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities and challenging behaviour.

  • PMVA training.

  • Strong de-escalation and behaviour management skills.

  • Experience promoting independent living skills such as routines and nutrition.

  • Confidence using digital care planning systems for accurate record keeping.

  • A valid UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.

  • Eligibility to work in the UK (Right to Work documentation required).

  • NVQ/QCF Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care (Children & Young People or Adults).

Desirable Qualifications
  • First Aid training or equivalent.

About the role
